Vanitas, has made a mistake. He inevitably keeps digging, digging a thumb into the corner of the bottom of the half-eaten ice-cream and flicking it off the tower with his fingernail, avoiding looking at Roxen.
"Yeah that." Flick flick. He leans back. The honesty was both appreciated and painful, striking that sore spot of years deep. "I think I always expected something like it to happen, I just didn't..." really expect it to happen. It's a mess. It only belatedly hits him that Ventus was never a creature of darkness living among light. He's not sure how to feel about that, about any of it. He knows that the other Ventus just... went with it and still doesn't understand why. In this he's a little closer to Roxas's side of things.
Something in him clicks and twists, in that moment. "Light, dark, Masters." There's scorn in the words. "I didn't think I'd ever be one but I don't want to be now." Does he think Eraqus was as bad as Xehanort? Get back to him on that. But he's sure about this.
